My life journey led me to understand and believe that resilience and integrity are two key factors that help us through the toughest of times

What is Resilience?

 Resilience is the ability to remain flexible, adaptive and balanced through the stressful circumstances and traumatic events that life likes to throw our way. Flexibility is an essential part of resilience.

What role does integrity play?

Increasing our ability to be adaptive allows us to remain at equilibrium, such that we are not thrown off by these life circumstances. As a result, we can keep our integrity intact, thus bringing our wholehearted selves everywhere we go.

How can I EMERGE and become who I want to be?

  • Embrace a positive sense of self and have confidence in one’s own strengths and abilities.
  • Manage strong feelings and impulses.
  • Enhance communication and problem-solving skills.

What Is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a process that enables you to get from where you are now to where you want to be – giving you the happy life you deserve. Sometimes we know exactly where it is we want to go with our lives, and sometimes we know we aren’t happy but don’t know why. 

How will Life Coaching benefit me?

By helping you to set goals you really want to achieve, by distinguishing between what you could do, should do, ought to do and really want to do. When you create an ideal goal – something you really want – you are more likely to take action to achieve it.

My Philosophy

I am Amy Eisenhauer, a Rochester based Life and Health Coach. My purpose is to empower my clients to build confidence, resilience, hope and self-motivation, so that they can make lasting changes to their health and overall well-being.

My coaching philosophy and approach is shaped by my experiences throughout my life course, which comprises positive experiences as well as very significant trials.  My journey led me to establish Bend Don’t Break, where resilience and integrity are core values that drive my coaching philosophy and holistic coaching approach.

A holistic coaching approach is heart-centered and solution-focused, enabling individuals to shift and transform through difficult circumstances throughout the life course. These circumstances might be personal, professional, emotional, spiritual or perhaps a combination.  As a holistic life and health coach, I will help guide you to function in a way that promotes emotional wellness in all facets of your life, including mind, body and spirit. This multifactorial approach will enable you to gain greater self-awareness and appreciation for a renewed sense of balance, health, wellness and vitality in your life.  

What Is Health Coaching?

A societal misconception is that there is a one-size-fits-all approach to achieving a healthy, fulfilling life. Everyone has different needs rooted in varying life complexities and challenges. I aim to guide my clients through establishing personalized, sustainable plans to achieving and maintaining health and wellness goals. I do so by seeking to understand personal barriers preventing a well-balanced life, and then help identify feasible goals, strengths, and challenges.

Who is Health Coaching for?

Everyone. Today, six out of ten adults in the US have a chronic disease and four out of ten adults have two or more.  A growing number of doctors are connecting their patients with health coaches as part of their treatment plan for conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. One key factor that heavily influences chronic conditions is unhealthy lifestyle habits. Working with a health and wellness coach can help you strategically think through the ways in which new, healthier habits can be introduced and maintained.

What Is Stress Management?

Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the demands of life. A small amount of stress can be good, sometimes motivating you to perform well. However, if you are living with high levels of stress, you are putting your entire well-being at risk as stress negatively impacting your emotional and physical health. Stress narrows your ability to think clearly, function effectively, and enjoy life. It may seem like there’s nothing you can do about stress, however, you have a lot more control than you might think. 
Effective stress management helps you break the hold stress has on your life, so you can be happier, healthier, and more productive. The ultimate goal is a balanced life, with time for work, relationships, relaxation, fun and the resilience to hold up under pressure and meet challenges head on. Stress management is not one-size-fits-all. That’s why it’s important to experiment and find out what works best for you.
How will Stress Management benefit me?
An important goal for those under stress is the management of life stresses.  Elimination of stress is unrealistic since stress is a part of normal life. Instead, we can learn techniques to manage stress so that we have control over our stress and its effects on our physical and emotional health.

Stress can be effectively managed in many different ways. The best stress management plans usually include a mix of stress relievers that address stress physically and psychologically and help to develop resilience and coping skills.

The time and effort spent relaxing and learning new stress management skills is always well-spent because of the emotional and physical health benefits it brings.  It is important to assess your current situation and gain an insight into how you are being affected, and what needs to change
